Episode 12 "The Intern" features Tiffani-Amber Thiessen
kevinolzak1 June 2010
This twelfth episode guest stars Tiffani-Amber Thiessen (SAVED BY THE BELL, BEVERLY HILLS 90210) as Barbara, the new intern working in Bill's office, granddaughter of Margaret's friend Mimsy Bordner, a beautiful 21-year-old who commands everyone's attention, especially Bradley, who unsuccessfully tries to put the make on her (Jordan refers to him as 'Captain Puberty'). She quickly gains the Senator's confidence, encouraging him to catch up on his paperwork (which infuriates Jordan), and accompanying him to see a Jerry Lewis movie (which infuriates Caitlyn). Margaret wonders if the little tramp has designs on her husband, but Bill laughs off the suggestion, since he's old enough to be her father; once alone with her, he is swiftly proved wrong (Barbara: "I do think you're the sexiest man I've ever met!" Bill: "Margaret thought you'd say that!" Barbara: "Senator, I want to sleep with you!" Bill: "yup, she mentioned that too!"). Bill seems to enjoy the added distraction of a jealous Jordan (Bill: "be realistic, what would she ever see in me, I'm an old guy!" Jordan: "oh no you're not, you're handsome, you're sexy, and you've got hair that lesser men would kill for!" Bill: "yeah, well you got me there!"). Later Charlotte notices what's going on, and voices her concerns to Theodore (Charlotte: "I have to know sir, do you have an intern working in your office?" Theodore: "yes..." Charlotte: "you have no idea how insanely jealous that makes me, I'll bet that frisky intern can't wait to fondle you!" Theodore: "no, Frank and I have an understanding!"). Barbara crosses the line when she candidly asks Jordan if the Senator fools around (Barbara: "I'm really sorry, I didn't know YOU were already nailing him!"). Having been warned off, the girl makes a quick exit, leaving both Margaret and Jordan relieved (Margaret: "it was just absurd of me to ever think she'd have anything to do with Bill!" Jordan: "we both know there's only one woman for the Senator!"). Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Pierce does not appear in this entry.
