A promising start.

British Agent Quiller, manages to escape Beirut with his life, but when he returns to The UK, he seems to be the target of someone's revenge, he manages to escape several attempts on his life's will he learn who, and why?

To start with, this drama talks of 'the troubles' happening in Israel, fifty years on, and that topic is still heading up the news, how sad.

I wasn't sure I was going to get into it, after an exciting start, I thought it dipped a little, however once we learned what was going on, it seemed to focus and energise, the second half was excellent.

Some wonderful location work, I'm assuming that was something writer Michael J. Bird insisted on, much if bus work was set outside of The UK. Those opening scenes looked superb.

Michael Jayston is very good as Quiller, Moray Watson, well I've seen him play the exact same type of character many times before, as you'd expect always forthright and very English, but very good.

I look forward to seeing more.

8/10.
