Great end to series one.
Sleepin_Dragon8 March 2023
Jeff is approached by a beautiful woman called Lauren to find her missing husband, enquiries take him and Marty to the small village of Hadel Rockstead, unusually the residents can see Marty.

Worlds collide in this great end to series one, arguably series one's best episode, it is dark, surreal, comical and hugely imaginative.

I love the way it builds, it is eerie and sinister to begin with, and soon turns into full on horror. It reminded me somewhat of Hot Fuzz, similar cooky village, cries of 'Lovely day,' seem to sweet and innocent to begin with, but of course there are sinister tones.

I was reminded of one of my favourite horror films, The Legacy, especially that scene where Jeff tries to leave Hadel Rockstead.

Definitely some humour here, Seth was very funny, some cracking one liners.

Some great performances, Jennifer Calvert and Gareth Thomas were great, loved Elizabeth Spriggs here.

I wonder if it was written to end the show, it feels like a conclusion, but gladly it returned for a second run.

9/10.
