- At trails end, Mushy is embarrassed and denounced by Favor for being conned out of the drive's wagons and supplies by a band of Gypsies. Dejected, Mushy wanders off alone in the desert to be followed by Favor and Rowdy.
- The cattle drive has reached its destination, and Favor, the men and their horses are ready to return home by rail road. Mushy had been alone watching the wagons, supplies and horse remuda, all of which Favor was selling. But a group of Gypsy swindlers had tricked Mushy into turning everything over to them on the lie that Favor had sold the items to them. Favor is furious over the loss, and on the train ride home Mushy overhears Favor denouncing Mushy to Rowdy and declaring he was going to fire Mushy. Tearful, Mushy jumps off the train and wanders in the desert till he is rescued by another traveling family of Gypsies. The mute daughter cares for and falls in love with Mushy. Meanwhile, the drovers discover that Mushy is missing, and Favor and Rowdy stop the train and ride off looking for Mushy. The girl's father sells Mushy as a virtual slave to a townsman, but the girl rescues him. Everything comes to a head as Favor and Rowdy finally make it to the Gypsy camp where they find both Mushy and the stolen wagons, supplies and horses.—chipe
- Mushy is left to watch the wagons and remuda after a drive. When Rowdy goes to retrieve them, Mushy has turned them over to four men who said they had a bill of sale from Favor but he never looked at it. Unable to find any trace of the stolen gear, Mushy and Rowdy join the train. Mushy overhearing Favor's outburst about Mushy's stupidity and orders to fire Mushy jumps off the train. A troop of gypsies find him passing out and steal his money but decide to take him along. Although Teya, a mute, wants to keep Mushy, they sell him as slave labor in a town. Noticing Mushy gone, Rowdy stops the train to leave to find him. Feeling at fault Favor goes as well. Along with Wishbone who is tracking Mushy alone they end up in the same town but miss Mushy. Teya finding Mushy gone goes alone into town and sneaks Mushy back with her. Seeing Mushy has escaped, the bartender for the reward tells the men Teya took Mushy. The men who stole the outfit from Mushy bring the stolen items to the gypsy camp as they are part of the troop. As one attempts to kill Mushy with a knife, the drovers ride into camp. When the gypsy leader Vassily wants a "reward", Favor convinces him to "return" the outfit while Mushy must confront leaving the only girl friend he has had - Teya.—Anonymous
