Sheb Wooley: Pete Nolan
Quotes
-
Gil Favor : It looks a long ways off to me.
Pete Nolan : We ain't got nothin' to worry about now.
Gil Favor : Oh, no. Nothing but fences, grass and water, and a place to hold 'em. And the buyers and the inspectors, market price, freight costs, the mood of the world, and the state of a million housewives' digestion.
-
Pete Nolan : You running out on us?
Wishbone : [Mr Wishbone is all gussied up in his smart clothes and top hat] So what if I am. I came to Sedalia. That's all I bargained for.
Pete Nolan : Listen, you know Mr Favor depends on you more than he does on anybody else.
Wishbone : Who he depends upon is his affair. And where I go and when is mine.
Pete Nolan : Now you wait a minute.
Wishbone : Now, Pete, don't you come a step further.
[Wish is holding a rock in his hand]
Pete Nolan : I'm not going to let you go, and talk it over with Mr Favor.
Wishbone : Oh. I guess you're right. Pete, you know how especially fond of you I am. Well, so you'll know how much I hate to do this.
Pete Nolan : Do what?
[Wish slams the rock against the side of Pete's head, and Pete collapses while holding his head]
-
Pete Nolan : You split my scalp and then you got the nerve to call me a sorehead.
Wishbone : Aw, Pete, you're making a mountain out of a little old bump. Well, I hit you on the hardest part of your head and put a nice soothing compress on it to ease the misery.
-
Pete Nolan : Rowdy, how'd you do it?
Rowdy Yates : Well, I didn't, she did it all on her own. I just helped keep her on the right track, like I used to do with my Ma.
