In this episode while at camp for the night an old prospector who's out of his head clearly starts telling tales Coronado and the lost city of gold he found in
the southwest. Even after he gets food and water Royal Dano is still babbling
on about it. He convinces the innocent and gullible Mushy to take food supplies
and horses from the trail herd.
Eric Fleming sends Clint Eastwood after them. and he finds James Murdock and Dano and he finds them living deep in the mountains with a strange group of people who deserted from the army looking for the same legend. They are led by Claude Akins who still wears his Civil War uniform with its rank of sergeant.
After that it gets downright weird so I'll say no more. One of the lesser episodes of the series.
