British actor Bill Travers guest stars in this Rawhide episode as an Irish prizefighter taking on all comers on the way west. After a bout with Clint Eastwood, Travers gets signed as a drover to go as far as a place where he once mined for gold. But some nasty Indians view that land as sacred.
This was a truly sad tale and unusual in that Travers with an adopted Irish brogue narrates the story with some Irish whimsy thrown in as well. He's on a mission all right but it's nothing to do with the fabled riches that might be there. Those fabled riches that are giving Eric Fleming's drovers gold fever.
No Travers is on one sad mission indeed. This is fine Rawhide episode and a fine performance from Bill Travers.
