The Gil Favor trail drive has to go through Comanche territory and the tribe has
signed a peace treaty, but everyone's on edge.
Two strangers join the drive. One of them is a Comanche named Joseph who wants a job and to learn white man's ways. But he says some mysterious things that lead the drovers to believe that Michael Ansara just might be the Comanche chief Iron Bull.
The second is James Whitmore, an army colonel with his sergeant Judson Pratt who won a final battle over the tribe that ended hostilities. As we learn it was battle like Wounded Knee was a battle.
Both Whitmore and Ansara give crackerjack performances and take this episode from the Rawhide regulars.
