Peter Whitney does a nice job in this entertaining episode

This episode begins as Gil and Rowdy come up on an European man named Anton(Peter Whitney). Anton is a jack-of-all-trades from a music-box maker to a gunsmith. Gil lets Anton ride with the drive and Anton agrees to work on the cowboy's guns for food. But there is more to this story as Anton has all the guns and then proceeds to take fifty head of cattle right under the nose of the cowboys. We learn that he is taken the cattle back to his kinfolk that is having a hard time living in the rural west.

Also during the show, Gil receives a nasty foot wound. And when an infection sets up in the wound, Anton takes Gil back to his residence, with the cattle, to receive medicine for the infection and high fever. So Anton does not appear to be all bad.

Peter Whitney does an excellent job of playing the Swiss immigrate that is having a tough time when the clan want to move against his hard-line beliefs. His acting is the highlight of the show. There is a tough part when Indians come into the camp where the cowboys only have one bullet in an old gun. For some reason they shoot one of the Indians and the others Indians just stand around looking instead of firing their rifles that was at the ready. Other than that laughable scene the rest of the story was top-notch. Good watch.
