John Ireland was one fine actor

And Nina Shipman was just as pretty as dew on a dry desert morning! This was a very touching episode that I enjoyed very much. I wish they would make TV like this nowadays!

Would Gil Favor allow a blind woman on his trail drive?

John Ireland who would later be a Rawhide regular in the last season guest stars in this episode. He plays a saddle tramp who accidentally kills Nina Shipman's father while robbing their house.

Later on Ireland signs on with Gil Favor's trail drive and Shipman who is moving from her house accompanies the drive. Ireland becomes her driver.

For the life of me I can't figure out why Eric Fleming would take on responsibility of Shipman. Ireland and Shipman do have some tender scenes together.

For John Ireland fans.
