- In Apache land Rowdy is sent to recover cattle taken by them. The Chief agrees to return them but the agreement is messed up by some of the drovers. A wounded Rowdy discovers the Apache have white captives increasing the tension.
- The group heads west instead of north for better beef prices and Rowdy complains to Favor. However, soon Gil discovers why Rowdy is so opposed to traveling through West Texas. Pete returns from scouting to report he saw Apaches in the area. He notices a new drover Mace who he calls out as a Comanchero but Favor keeps him even after Mace says they are looking for white captives. Rowdy is sent to recover a few cattle taken by the Apache Indians. He finds their Chief Yuma who agrees to return the cattle. Rowdy finds Yuma held and being beaten by Mace and his partner. Rowdy frees Yuma but is shot by an Indian. After being wounded by an arrow, Rowdy is brought to an Indian camp to have his wounds tended. There, he discovers the Apache have a white captive that causes a rift between him and his new friend. Rowdy returns to camp and the captive appears there as well on her own. When several of the men want the reward for her, Favor fires them. When Yuma threatens the drovers over her return, she decides to return to Yuma but the group of recently fired drovers see a chance for money and almost cause a war between the drovers and the Apache when she is kidnapped. Favor and Rowdy leave what she does to her decision but Yuma has the final say.—ubergeek
- Mace joins the trail drive as drover, but is really looking for Abby Conroy, who was captured by Indians when a girl and is subject of a $10,000 reward for her return. Hungry Indians steal a dozen cows. Rowdy, whose family was wiped out by Indians long ago, pursues. Indian chief Yuma offers to pay for the cattle, but agrees to return them. Mace and sidekick apprehend Yuma to force information about Abby, but Rowdy see this and forces release of Chief and tells him to keep two cattle. During this conversation an unruly Indian wounds Rowdy with an arrow, but Yuma kills the Indian and takes Rowdy to Indian camp to be cared for by white woman who turns out to be Abby Conroy as evidenced by her locket with her initials. Back at the drive, Favors lets Rowdy take seven drovers to "rescue" Abby, but the tribe has vacated the camp. However, Ann made her own way to the drover's bivouac, deciding to return to her white family. Problems ensue. Mace and some drovers want a share of the $10,000 reward, but Favor says no one gets the reward and fires the drovers demanding the reward. Then Chief Yuma shows up demanding the girl's return and threatening the drive when Favor refuses. To avoid bloodshed, Abby sneaks out to rejoin the Indians, but is waylaid by Mace and the fired drovers. Rowdy pursues her, discovers she was taken by Mace's group, then goes to the Chief for help. They eventually catch up to Mace's group and the girl.—chipe
