- A pet dog brings things and people to his young master, a boy suffering from a debilitating illness, whenever it feels that he needs them. At first this proves quite useful but it takes a rather bizarre turn at the end.
- Martin is a lonely boy confined to bed because of his illness. His only contact with the outside world is through his loyal dog that brings flowers and objects from the streets to him. When his mother questions the actions of his dog, Martin decides to prove his efficiency to his mother and asks the animal to find a friend for him. The dog brings Miss Haight, Martin's teacher if the boy could go to the school, and she becomes his friend, visiting him every day. - Invalided child Martin receives gifts from his dog, the detritus he picks up on his travels around town. Martin tags him with a message and sends him to gather company. He brings teacher Miss Haight whose visits become the high point of his days. Her sudden death is a shock and things worsen when dog disappears also. Dog returns on Halloween with a surprise.
