"Unsurrendered Sword" takes Johnny Yuma across the Rio Grande to the small Mexican town of Gomera, where Confederate General Thomas Tarrington spent his final days, refusing to surrender his sword after Appomattox, his widow making a request to retrieve it for a price of $500. Gomero's authority is Guido Morales (Jay Novello), the location where the general died at the home of Juanita Flynn (Peggy Webber). The general's sword is proudly displayed on her wall, her brother Manuel (Paul Picerni, second of three) quite willing to collect the reward for himself, but Juanita refuses to part with it. The question of just how the general died keeps Yuma close by, determined to honor the widow one way or another. Peggy Webber was a beautiful actress prolific in television (memorably seen in 1958's "The Screaming Skull"), while Joseph Perry only puts in a brief appearance (second of three), getting roughed up by The Rebel.
