I liked this story of a jailed murderer refusing to give his proxy bride a divorce, and then breaking out of jail with the intention of killing his bride and her lover. A true noir drama with astounding performances, especially the murderer's one, and a so great atmosphere of the twenties too. In this story, we are more focused, interested in the poor wife and her jailed husband than in the usual lead characters of the show, including Dorothy Provine. I particularly loved the sequence on the in construction sky-scraper scene, where our lead character Rex Reason goes to ask some questions to the wife's relatives. In this sequence we watch one short scene of what the building of New York was in those years. The escape from prison scene is also pretty effective.
One good episode, among the best of the whole series.
