After near electrocution by a big computer, Dane Clark gains some sort of enhanced set of senses. His hearing is heightened. He becomes aware of the problems of a young woman, whose conversation with a boyfriend he has "listened in" on. He can't sleep because of his affliction and the girl thinks he's a peeping Tom or worse, a stalker. He seeks professional help from a college professor who is amazed at his powers. Eventually, he stops a suicide attempt because he hears a gas jet on a stove, hissing. Apparently, he has become a "negative" man because of some strange ionization. Apparently, he has also become a genius, boosting his IQ immensely. He sort of self- diagnoses his condition. The ending is utterly anti-climactic, which seems to be the norm for this series.
