Brooke Burns: Nicki Shields

Quotes

  • D.D. Cummings : [shocked by revelation of spotted owl's demise]  Eating? You mean you ate one of them?

Nicki Shields : I was chasing down some eco-terrorists in the field, got hungry, and I bagged me an owl. What's the big deal?

D.D. Cummings : "What's the big deal?" They're almost *extinct!*

Nicki Shields : Well, I can see why, tasting like that. They're like a cross between a bald eagle and a California condor.

    [Shane winces]

D.D. Cummings : You're not serious, right? Right? I mean, how can anyone ever do anything that *grotesque?*

Shane Phillips : I can't believe anyone would ever eat *bait.* But look at how sushi caught on.

    [D.D. looks at her impatiently]

Shane Phillips : Right, it's so grotesque I can't believe it either.

    [nods]

D.D. Cummings : [gives up on this]  Let's just start looking for clues.

  • Nicki Shields : Indigo has his own stealth helicopter. He escaped from up here. Smart thinking, secret squirrels!

  • Shane Phillips : [as Nicki beats up Lucus repeatedly]  Nick, this is torture!

Nicki Shields : Torture? Nah. Recovering for a month in a hospital bed after a job, losing the remote and having to sit through a TVLand marathon of the Wyans brothers... now that's torture!

  • Shane Phillips : Nick, he can't tell us anything if you break his jaw!

Nicki Shields : Sure he can. It's just a little bit harder to understand.

  • Nicki Shields : You know, we're a lot more alike than you might think. Maybe I could get used to this team thing. It gets pretty old talking to myself.

D.D. Cummings : Look, Nick, no offense... Well, maybe just a little... But we prefer the partner we already have.

    [nods]

Nicki Shields : You don't have her *yet.*

  • Nicki Shields : [taunting D.D. and Shane]  Can't pick. Can't kick. What is salt 'n' pepper gonna do?
