Tom Dooley returns to work only to be confronted by a rabidly determined Stephanie Bennett. Unhappy with the direction his breakfast show is taking and fearing professional embarrassment, Tom reclaims his breakfast spot. As Stephanie and Jerry prepare to leave town, their attention is drawn to his voice on the radio. Driven by her scoop mentality, Stephanie heads over to 3ES for an exclusive interview with the banished king of radio. "Siege radio" swings into action as, determined to deprive Stephanie of an interview, Tom locks himself in the booth. Emu Springs is riveted. Advertisers vie for spots as a national feed is implemented and the radio station crew rally around Tom in protest of declining journalistic integrity. As the battle-lines are drawn between Stephanie and Tom, her ruthlessness becomes apparent, and Sally is faced with an unpleasant reality about her friend. Throughout, Tom Dooley manages to keep a little something up his sleeve.
