[Tuvok has caught Torres and Paris kissing in Engineering]
B'Elanna Torres : Do you think he'll say anything to the Captain?
Tom Paris : I don't know.
B'Elanna Torres : Well, how did he sound? Annoyed? Amused?
Tom Paris : He sounded Vulcan.
-
Seven of Nine : I am unaccustomed to working in a hierarchy. In the Collective, there was no need to ask permission.
B'Elanna Torres : If you're going to be a member of this crew, get used to it. Procedures exist for a reason; we've got to work together, follow the same set of rules...
Seven of Nine : [at B'Elanna's sudden stop] Lieutenant?
B'Elanna Torres : [musing] I was given that lecture once... by Captain Janeway when I first joined this crew.
B'Elanna Torres : [turning to Seven] If I could adjust to Starfleet life, so can you.
Seven of Nine : Of course. I am... "sorry" for the inconvenience.

[Paris speculates that the aliens may have been tampering with his and Torres's hormones]
Tom Paris : Well, when you think about it, you did have a pretty abrupt change of heart a couple of weeks ago. What made you realize that you loved me all of a sudden?
B'Elanna Torres : Just a feeling. So, our whole relationship might be based on some... alien experiment.
Tom Paris : You never know.
B'Elanna Torres : Well, I think that explains it.
Tom Paris : I guess we should just... call it off, then.
B'Elanna Torres : I think so.
Tom Paris : Thank God we found out in time.
B'Elanna Torres : Thank God.
[they kiss lovingly]
Tom Paris : I don't know about you, but... I'm curious to see how this experiment turns out.
-
B'Elanna Torres : Then we're agreed. Just a little bit more careful in public and we don't say anything to anybody.
Tom Paris : At least for now.
B'Elanna Torres : Now? Sounds like you see a future in this.
Tom Paris : Hm. I would never be so presumptuous.
B'Elanna Torres : Smooth recovery, Lieutenant.
Tom Paris : I thought so.

Captain Janeway : [confronting them about their relationship] I don't usually pry into the personal lives of my crew, but in this case I have to question your recent conduct.
Tom Paris : I guess Tuvok...
Captain Janeway : Tuvok? I haven't heard a word from Tuvok, b ut you two have been making enough of a public display that half the ship is gossiping about it.
B'Elanna Torres : Believe me, that wasn't our intention...
Captain Janeway : [getting very stern] You are senior officers, and I expect you to maintain the standard for the rest of the crew, but this adolescent behavior makes me question my faith in you - both. If you choose to pursue a relationship, that's your business, but you consider yourselves under orders to use better jugdment about it. Is that understood?
-
Seven of Nine : There is no need for anger. I had no intention of causing a problem.
B'Elanna Torres : What, "sorry" isn't in the Borg vocabulary?
