Sex & Nudity

Violence & Gore

  • Much more violent than the rest of Star Trek:Voyager, not suitable for children. Quite a lot of fighting scenes, characters are stabbed and one character's throat is slit. Wounds and blood are shown throughout the episode. The whole basis of the episode is a prison full of violent prisoners, all wielding knives, etc.

Profanity

  • Couple of uses of the word "dammit", very mild profanity.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Arguably quite an intense episode, darker than the majority of other Star Trek: Voyager episodes. Not suitable for children, but fine for mature teens/adults. Multiple fight scenes that some may find frightening/intense, as well as some other scenes that could be deemed frightening, especially considering the poor treatment two of the main Voyager characters go through in this episode. Some scenes are arguably quite distressing.
