- Lt. Rod Blake: Oh, hello. I'm Rod Blake, chief investigator for the Nevada state troopers. You know parole boards have found that the average prisoner intends and wants to go straight when he gets out, but he has two strikes against him with the public. I'm not criticizing the attitude - I guess it's normal - but as a peace officer, I've learned it's not always the public that has to be protected from the ex-convict... sometimes the ex-convict has to be protected from the public. You'll see an example in a case called, "The Man from Solitary".
