Not one of the better ones.

During the long history of "Studio One", the series came up with some amazingly good teleplays...ones that today stand as classics. But not every installment can be a great story...and some, like "Pagoda", are only fair when seen today.

The story is set in Burma and the country is racked with civil war. Stuck in the middle of this is a small airline...and its manager (John Forsythe) is in a real bind. He cannot trust his employees, as at least some of them are on the take from the rebels and the company seems filled with weasels. The manager is working himself to death and something has to give.

So why wasn't I fond of this one? Well, sometimes the dialog is pretty unbelievable and it looks as if it could have used a re-write. In addition, the Burmese locals look like white folks...which they are. And, the big fight scene was sloppy and looked like it was being performed in slow-motion! Overall, this one was just not enjoyable to watch.
