This is a pretty good yarn about a newspaper man who writes dramatic stories about Billy the Kid. The printed stories draw the attention of the Territorial Legislature in Santa Fe; they demand to know why Sheriff Pat Garrett is protecting /befriending notorious outlaw Billy the Kid. And the newspaper man has a plan to make the stories about The Kid even more exciting.
Actor Berry Kroeger plays the perfect newspaper writer, and actor Emile Meyer is convincing as the bitter former "Pinkerton Man" who would like another day in the limelight.
