The rubbish collection industry hides a pretty grubby secret, it's cover for the mob run racketeering bracket, Jack Floor is sent in undercover.
This was my first ever experience of Target, and I was impressed with this first episode, I really liked the format and story, Stephen McNally and Robert Harland I can see will make for a great duo.
Peter Falk is great as boss of The Head of The Association, Mr Long, he's more menacing here than I've ever seen him before, he was perfect for a role such as this. Walter Matthau was wonderfully charismatic as the sinister Martin Kramer, what a presence.
I really did enjoy that meeting of The Association, where all manner of rogues and villains, to discuss low funds and falling incomes. It was a proper rogue's gallery. All manner of great villains here, including the shadowy Frank Guido.
It's quite nicely produced, loved the 60's visuals, the clothes and cars, but considering the time, this was a very nicely produced episode.
Enjoyed this, 7/10.
