- Windom Earle: Your name, please?
- Major Briggs: Garland Briggs.
- Windom Earle: Garland, what do you fear most... in the world?
- Major Briggs: The possibility that love is not enough.
- Audrey Horne: Jack! Jack stop!
- John Justice Wheeler: [gets out of his jet] I guess a simple goodbye was out of the question.
- Audrey Horne: [they kiss] I love you.
- John Justice Wheeler: I love you, too.
- Audrey Horne: Do you have to leave?
- John Justice Wheeler: Yes.
- Audrey Horne: When will you be back?
- John Justice Wheeler: I don't know.
- Audrey Horne: [pause] I'm a virgin.
- John Justice Wheeler: You're a what?
- Audrey Horne: I want you to make love with me.
- John Justice Wheeler: What? Here and now?
- Audrey Horne: [shrugs] It's your jet.
- John Justice Wheeler: Thank God for that.
- [they kiss and enter the jet]
- Dr. Will Hayward: Dammit, Ben. It isn't that simple. I believe you. I applaud your desire to do the right thing. But goodness in you is like a timebomb. And there's nothing good about ruined lives.
- Windom Earle: These evil sorcerers, dugpas, they call them, cultivate evil for the sake of evil and nothing else. They express themselves in darkness for darkness, without leavening motive. This ardent purity has allowed them to access a secret place of great power, where the cultivation of evil proceeds in exponential fashion. And with it, the furtherance of evil's resulting power. These are not fairy tales, or myths. This place of power is tangible, and as such, can be found, entered, and perhaps, utilized in some fashion. The dugpas have many names for it, but chief among them is the Black Lodge... But you don't believe me, do you? You think I'm mad. Overworked. Go away.
- Windom Earle: The planets our babbling major spoke of are more than distant orbs. They are, in fact, a clock. A clock that tells the time. And the time... Time draws nearer with each ticking tock! Dale wasn't far wrong. The cave painting is an invitation of sorts, telling us when the revels begin. But what Dale doesn't know is where to find it. For you see, the cave painting is not only an invitation, it is also a map... a map to the Black Lodge!
- Special Agent Dale Cooper: Gentlemen, when when Windom Earle arrived in Twin Peaks I assumed he had come for vengeance, for me, but I miscalculated. He has insinuated himself into the lives of people I care for. He has murdered innocents. He has engaged us in subterfuge and red herring, a fish I don't particularly care for. All of these acts are merely camouflage. He's been after something else all along: the Black Lodge.
- Audrey Horne: What a gyp. Finally meet the man of my dreams and next thing I know he's on a plane to Brazil.
- Pete Martell: He'll be back one day. He promised.
- Audrey Horne: Yeah. Well, he also promised to take me fishing, and we never did. Love stinks.
- Pete Martell: Fishing?
- Audrey Horne: Yeah. Pearl Lake or something.
- Pete Martell: [pause] I have some tackle in the truck.
- Audrey Horne: You do?
- Pete Martell: Audrey, there are many cures for a broken heart, but nothing quite like a trout's leap in the moonlight. May I?
- Audrey Horne: [she laughs] You may.
- [they walk back to the truck, arm in arm]
- Benjamin Horne: Strive for goodness? Tell the hardest truth first?
- John Justice Wheeler: Just do the best you can. That's all you really can do.
- [Leo Johnson is wearing the rear end of a horse costume]
- Windom Earle: Leo! It looks like you've finally found your calling!
- [Windom Earle has Major Briggs tide up to a target mat with a crossbow aimed at him]
- Windom Earle: When did you first see the symbol in Owl Cave?
- Major Briggs: I'm not at liberty to divulge that information.
- Windom Earle: Cheater!
- [Windom fires an arrow at Briggs, missing his head by inches]
- Windom Earle: What does the cave painting mean?
- Major Briggs: [more firm tone] I'm not at liberty to divulge that information.
- Windom Earle: Damn, but I love the military mind.
- [fires another arrow at Briggs, again missing him]
- Pete Martell: Audrey, there are many cures for a broken heart. But nothing quite like a trout's leap in the moonlight.
- Audrey Horne: [Audrey and John are trying to say goodbye on the runway next to John's airplane] I am a virgin!
- John Justice Wheeler: You're what?
- Audrey Horne: I want you to make love with me...
- John Justice Wheeler: What? Here and now?
- Audrey Horne: It's your jet...
- [laughing]
- John Justice Wheeler: Thank God for that!
- [kisses Audrey]
- Sheriff Harry S. Truman: What is it, Coop?
- Special Agent Dale Cooper: Oh, just thinking about Annie Blackburn.
- Sheriff Harry S. Truman: Well bless your heart, I've never known your mind to wander.
- Special Agent Dale Cooper: Ah, Harry, I've been feeling this way all day. You know, I proceed as usual, my mind clear and focussed, and then suddenly, out of nowhere, I see her face and I hear her voice. Naturally I try to reorient myself, come back to the task at hand, but the image remains. Sometimes I actually feel dizzy.
- Sheriff Harry S. Truman: A man in love is supposed to feel that way.
- Special Agent Dale Cooper: Well my symptoms suggest the onset of malaria, but I've never felt better in my life.
- Bobby Briggs: Strive for goodness? Tell the hardest truth first?
- John Justice Wheeler: Just do the best you can. That's all you really can do.
