• Sally : [pulling up in her convertible next to Dan as he's jogging]  Hi!

  Dan Tanna : Hi!

  Sally : [smiles flirtateously]  Wanna lift?

  Dan Tanna : No thanks. I'm actually doing this on purpose, do you believe it? I've got a couple more miles to go.

  Sally : Are you sure?

  Dan Tanna : Well thanks anyway.

  Sally : Oh.

  [she pulls her car into his path and pulls out a gun] 

  Sally : Get in or I'll blow your pretty face off.

  Dan Tanna : You got a lousy sense of humor, lady.

  Sally : I assure you, Mr. Tanna, that I'm quite serious. Now come around to the other side and drive so I can keep my eye on you. Now!

• Dan Tanna : So the deal is, I get a villa in the south of France, all the fringe benefits, and five million dollars in cash... to kill my friend. No, no, no... to kill my BEST friend! Is that about it?

  Emil Remick : [nods]  Precisely it, Mr. Tanna. We have a rather complete doccier on you. For example, we knew that the Roth hotel chain was the first of your many clients, and that you and Mr. Roth are close friends.

  Dan Tanna : My very point, Mr. Remick! You see, where I come from, friends don't generally go about killing other friends. But uh...

  [picks up a stack of money offered him] 

  Dan Tanna : this is rather intriguing. What do you all have against Philip Roth?

  Luke Kichi : Nothing personal. It's just that Mr. Roth is trying to build four casinos and hotels in places where he is not welcome by us... Singapore, Manila, Korea and Taiwan.

  Dan Tanna : Mr. Roth builds a lot of casino hotels.

  Mr. Singh : But not in places where they would seriously impair our business interests.

  Dan Tanna : And what is your business, Mr. Singh?

  Mr. Singh : Mr. Tanna... you must have already drawn a conclusion.

  Dan Tanna : [smiles, waving cash stack at projected image of Roth]  The same business Mr. Roth is in, huh? Gambling? But only of the illegal variety, and if he builds casinos, then you're out of business.

  Emil Remick : [smiles]  Very astute, Mr. Tanna... very astute.

• Mr. Logan : [Logan has just fatally shot Lani and is shooting towards Tanna]  You've embarrassed me, Mr. Tanna! I don't like that! You're gonna pay for it now! I counted your bullets, Mr. Tanna! You've fired six, remember? Question... would you carry extra ammunition on your way to see the girl? I think not..I'm betting my life on it! You come from a gambling city, Mr. Tanna... will you take my bet?

  [Tanna leaps from overhead and tackles Logan, they fight, Dan gets control of Logan's pistol and aims it at him] 

  Dan Tanna : Run.

  Mr. Logan : What?

  Dan Tanna : Run... or I'll blow you away just for the hell of it!

  Mr. Logan : Run where?

  Dan Tanna : [gazing towards pineapple field]  There.

  Mr. Logan : [Logan stands up and surveys the field]  I'll be cut to ribbons!

  Dan Tanna : Really? Show me! Or would you rather have your brains spread around? There's a service road 50 yards ahead... you make it, I might let you live. RUN.

  [Tanna aims and fires towards Logan... Logan runs and falls several times, screaming in pain, but makes it to the road] 

• Emil Remick : I want you to say it, Mr. Tanna... I'm going to kill Philip Roth... I'm going to kill Philip Roth.

  [raises voice as the noises and images intensify] 

  Emil Remick : WHO ARE YOU GOING TO KILL, MR. TANNA? WHO ARE YOU GOING TO KILL, MR. TANNA? WHO ARE YOU GOING TO KILL, MR. TANNA? WHO ARE YOU GOING TO KILL, MR. TANNA?

  Dan Tanna : [wide eyed and barely coherent]  I'm going... to kill... Philip... Roth. I'm going... to kill Philip Roth.
