- In the 90's redistribution package, two songs (the ones just before and just after the turkey drop) are replaced.
- On the 20th Century Fox DVD release, Pink Floyd's "Dogs" is replaced with generic upbeat rock music. Most of the scene is cut, including all of the dialogue. For the later Shout Factory complete series DVD release, while "Dogs" still couldn't be licensed, a sound alike was used, and the majority of the scene's dialogue was reinstated. The only obvious dialogue missing from the Shout Factory version is when Carlson asks Johnny which band is playing the song, with Johnny replying "Pink Floyd."
- When aired in syndication, Mr. Carlson comes into the radio booth with an unknown song playing with dogs barking. When originally aired, it was the Pink Floyd song Dogs that was played, that also obviously features barking dogs during the song. Due to licensing issues it was removed. The entire song is over seventeen minutes long, which explains why Johnny is catching a cat nap.
