Curiously, Daphne is not the least bit jealous of the attraction between Lindsay Pagano and Fred, like she has been when an attractive woman shows any interest in him, in a running gag starting with Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island (1998). It's possible this is because she knows that his having a romantic relationship with a celebrity would be out of the question.
Second and final speaking appearance of reporter Nancy Chang, who previously appeared in the series pilot There's No Creature Like Snow Creature (2002). She is voiced by Lauren Tom, who voiced other characters on this series and in the Scoobyverse generally. The character will make an appearance in season 3's Wrestle Maniacs (2005), but without a voice.
Rats: The Musical is a parody of the West End and Broadway musical, CATS.
Lindsay Pagano is the first celebrity to play herself in a prominent role alongside Mystery Inc on this series. This is reminiscent of The New Scooby-Doo Movies (1972), where a new celebrity guest star (or a prominent character from a crossover series) appeared each week.
