One more time this is an old buddy from war topic. If you remember, we have already seen this more than a couple of times in the show. No, what amazes the most here are the beautiful songs, not the rest. Even if that remains interesting for the series fans or old TV show diggers. And always that tremendous atmosphere of the twenties period. It is definitely not a noir story, but on the contrary rather musical comedy tale with some drama touch. And for the first time, as far as I remember, Dotty Provine has to share the lead dancer or singer in an episode. The actress playing the french singer is very amusing, with her way of speaking with French accent. In summary, an enjoyable episode, but so different from the one I commented yesterday.
This show was really eclectic in its topics, it gave you all kinds of genres: noir, comedy, drama, musical...
All in the vintage atmosphere of those lost years.
