The last time Hollywood invaded Arizona was for the Super Bowl in January 2008.
Mansions were captured, luxury car companies shuttled stars across the desert, and the Maxim party (featuring the late DJ Am) then at a mega resort north of Scottsdale looked like four or five of Brent Bolthouse and Jen Rosero’s best nightclub events cobbled together in an indoor/outdoor party pangea.

A member of Judd Apatow’s posse will join those freaks and geeks on ABC’s The Goldbergs this winter.
Martin Starr, best known for his appearance on Apatow’s Freaks & Geeks and Knocked Up, will star as Andre, a video store employee who takes his job a little too seriously. His episode will slated for January.
Starr’s other credits include the spoof comedy Burning Love as well as appearances on Hawaii 5-0 and Franklin and Bash.
ABC recently announced that it picked up the back nine episodes for The Goldbergs, which stars Wendi McLendon-Covey, Patton Oswalt and Jeff Garlin.

Some casting news has come in for The CW's midseason replacement series "Cult," and thanks to the magic of Twitter and the interwebs, we have all the details you need right here. Hopefully we'll also get word on a premiere date soon!
First up is Ben Hollinsworth ("Suits," Cabin Fever: Patient Zero), who will portray recurring character Peter Grey. According to ZAP2it Grey works as an associate producer on the show-within-the show, also known as "Cult." He recently tweeted via @hollingsworthb: "This happens a lot @ work. #reading Ep 3 of #cult #cw has never aired anything like this before.
Next is Stacey Farber ("Degrassi: The Next Generation," "18 to Life"), about whom @cultwriters tweeted, "okay, we're just a little excited about @staceyfarber18 joining the #cult family. say hi!" Per TVLine she'll also be recurring as E.J., a tech-savvy young woman who works with Matt Davis' character, Jeff, and helps...

I’m not sure it really sank in that Community would be getting a fourth season until the casting news started rolling in. Chances are, when Community hires an actor for a guest role, they’re going to be playing a teacher and so far that has been true for Season 4’s first castings. We first learned that British actor Matt Lucas would be playing an undecided teaching role, but – as exciting as it is to have Matt Lucas on the show – his casting was overshadowed by news of Malcolm McDowell playing the study groups new history professor. Aside from Michael Caine, McDowell is my favorite old British man to see. Putting him in Community is like a dream come true.
McDowell has been busy on TNT’s Franklin & Bash, in which he has a starring role, but that show airs during the summer, giving him plenty of time to pop in on Community.

Showtime's "Dexter" stars Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter fell in love during the run of the series, and later divorced. But the two appear to be very close still. The couple, who play Dexter Morgan and his sister Debra Morgan, were wed on New Years Eve in 2009 . and were divorced two years later. People magazine reports the two were spotted "looking cozy" on Wednesday in Venice Beach, Calif. Hall, 41, held Carpenter's arm as the two enjoyed a sunset. People reports the two have been circling each other at People/Entertainment Industry Foundation SAG Awards Bash last month too.

Love lost between Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter? No way. The Dexter costars - who wed on New Years Eve in 2009 - and were divorced two years later - were spotted looking cozy during an evening out Wednesday in Venice Beach, Calif. Hall, 41, clutched Carpenter's arm as the pair grabbed coffee before heading to the beach to watch the sun set. Once there, the actor pulled his ex-wife in for an embrace. "He is and always will be one of my best friends in the world. Just because the marriage ended doesn't mean the love isn't still there," Carpenter,...

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has announced its 2012 inductees, a list that includes the usual spate of Hof-y names (the Small Faces, ‘60s singer Donovan, blues guitarist Freddie King, etc) plus a handful of artists that made their mark in the MTV era: the Beastie Boys, the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Guns N’ Roses.
And while none of those latter three are exactly surprising (though, we gotta admit, the Cure, who were also in the running this year but didn’t make the cut, were robbed), what may transpire when they’re enshrined at the Hall’s annual induction ceremony — set for April 14 in beautiful Cleveland — could shock the rock world to its very core. Because, as is tradition, the honored acts will take the stage to perform a medley of their biggest hits, and while we’re reasonably sure what will happen when the Beasties and the Peppers do their thing,...

St. Patrick's Day fanatics are facing another tough decision this year, with the annual celebration of Irish culture falling in the middle of the week for the second year in a row.
One of the nation's premier shamrocking bands, Boston punks the Dropkick Murphys, happen to have a new live album, Live on Lansdowne, which was recorded last year during their seven-show, six-night St. Paddy's run. They're back at the House of Blues in Boston on Wednesday night (March 17) for the second night of a sold-out stand with Sick of It All and gypsy punks Larry and His Flask.
As usual, Boston is a nexus of Irish rock gigs, with Toronto's appropriately named Celtic rock band Enter the Haggis teaming up with Hoots and Hellmouth at the city's Showcase Live!
