During his first scene at the inn, Dylamug is voiced by George DiCenzo. When he confronts Darius on the street, the voice is provided by Lou Scheimer (credited as Erik Gunden). In all subsequent scenes are Dylamug is voiced by DiCenzo again. The reason for this is that Dylamug was never scripted to appear in the scene confronting Darius and the lines were supposed to be spoken by a Horde Trooper.
Dylamug was conceived as an action figure for the Masters of the Universe toy line but never went into production. Conceptualized by Ted Mayer, Dylamug's action figure would be a face in his torso made up out of three horizontal discs from which different facial expressions could be assembled. An action figure of Dylamug sculpted by the Four Horsemen and based on his Filmation appearance was finally released by Super 7 in 2018.
Frosta's animation model, based on the Princess of Power toy prototype from Mattel, was designed by Dale Hendrickson.
All the backgrounds of the village of Devlan are the same as the village of Thaymor as seen in Into Etheria (1985). Most notable are "The Laughing Swan" sign at the entrance to the inn and the minstrel seated inside it.
