  Karen Hayes : [Over the speakerphone as Bill stands nearby]  the co-pilot?

  Jack Bauer : Yeah, he was working for Henderson: the captain's unconscious but I've secured the co-pilot. We're on route back to Van Nuys Airfield

  Jack Bauer : [to the co-pilot]  what's our ETA?

  Scott Evans : Twenty one minutes

  Jack Bauer : [to Karen]  we're going to be on the ground in twenty one minutes. Listen to me, this recording proves President Logan was complicit in David Palmer's assassination, it is imperative it does not fall into the hands of anyone that is loyal to the President. As soon as we're on the ground, I'm going to need you to provide me with a safe "quarter" back to CTU

  Bill Buchanan : Jack, it's Bill, I'm back here with Karen, and I'll explain everything later. We can dispatch a team to meet you at the airfield: they can head off any law enforcement and take you to protective custody

  Karen Hayes : Curtis just brought her in, she's medical getting treatment, looks like she's going to be ok

• Karen Hayes : [Over the speakerphone inside the Situation Room as Bill stands next to her]  Air Traffic Control just received a VCI distress signal from your aircraft: that effectively authorizes President Logan to shoot you down

  Jack Bauer : [Over the cell phone inside the cockpit]  shoot us down?

  Bill Buchanan : An F-18 has been scrambled out of Point Magu, you have eight to ten minutes at best

  Jack Bauer : Can you patch me through to the pilot of the F-18?

  Bill Buchanan : No chance: they're on a coded frequency. We can try and get in touch with the White House

  Jack Bauer : And tell them what? They don't want to hear anything I have to say, hold on

  Jack Bauer : [to the pilot]  we need to land this plane now

  Scott Evans : We're a hundred miles from the nearest airport

  Jack Bauer : They just scrambled an F-18 to shoot us out of the sky: we need to get on the ground now

  Scott Evans : You didn't hear me. There's nowhere to land

  Jack Bauer : How much runway do you need?

  Scott Evans : At least five thousand feet

  Jack Bauer : Bill, do you hear me?

  Bill Buchanan : Yeah, Jack
