Lew Sargent is scheduled to run in the race on Sunday, but first he joins a secret society; he has to remain silent until ten, and wear a dress for the afternoon. This cramps his ability to make love to Betty Welch.
I looked at a ten-minute cutdown of this short, which was originally released at 20 minutes. As a result, most of the jokes are in the titles, although there is a terrific fight at a dance. There's one decent gag at the end, marred a little by the obvious wire work that makes it possible.
Although Wanda Wiley is credited as co-starring, there's no sign of her. Betty Welch is the object of everyone's affection, and she's made up to look like Clara Bow.
