Dude, i cannot believe this is the first comment on The Mighty Boosh. This show is undeniably good. I saw Gareth Marengi's Dark Place page and everyone was harping on how's its an undiscovered treasure. Granted it is, but the Boosh whips the pants off it.

It has bright, colorful and hilarious characters, who are fresher and original, ranging from a Sandstorm Monster made of Sandpaper to a weird looking thing with disco balls for well, balls. (The Hitchhiker is by far the greatest of them all). The locations they visit are zany and odd, but keep your interested without losing you in a thick cloud of "WTF is going on?!". Vince and Howard who head the show are a genuine odd couple. Howard's an arrogant fool, in love with himself and Vince is a fashionista, in love with his hair. They are brilliant on screen together, though Vince is by far the more watchable of the two, his charisma melts to you like plastic, but you never want to peel it off. The script is tight and each adventure is absorbing and ball-breakingly funny. The arguments Vince and Howard get into over music and Vince's hair are always classic and original and their one-liners are priceless ("I will come at you like a mighty bazooka")

See this show ASAP.

Included on the season 1 DVD, this documentary is the making of said series looking at everything from the characters, the writing, the musical numbers, the costumes and the sets. For those that own the DVD the chances are you do so because you really enjoyed the series and, assuming this, then this film will be very engaging and interesting. Run through with a similar sense of humour as the show itself, the documentary is a solid review of the process that gives credit across the board.

It is undeniable that the imaginative and creativity runs from the dialogue through to the costumes and everything in between. The film does a good job of translating this to the viewer and spends time talking to key people within each aspect. The contributions are all very relaxed and almost all of them feature nice little anecdotes or memories from the first season. The process of designing and making the costumes interested me the most as they just seem to be out of nowhere and are so effect considering the resources available (time and money).

Anyway, a fun and interesting little film that fans will love because it only confirms what we already know – that the Boosh is a great piece of creative work across the board and that credit is due to the cast and crew that don't stand at the front as well as, of course, Barratt and Fielding themselves.
