the only movie that's as bad as this is "bang!" why is this z-grade movie 85 minutes long? why do micro-budget movies like this stretch their crap out to become a full-length film when there's absolutely nothing worthwhile? the films makes no sense, the acting is a atrocious, every single character is annoying, the make-up/gore is sub-par, the tapeworm is basically a ripoff from "braindead," i hated this movie by the 45minute mark, up until then i was just bored, then it kept dragging on and on, i don't see any credit given to the director and i pray to god that he never does anything having to do with the entertainment industry ever, again, even the title credits are obnoxious, i can't think about this garbage anymore, goodbye

Back from the Dead is about a man called Corbet who is a guinea pig for an experiment into regression under the watchful eye of his girlfriend and strange sort of professor. The experiment goes terribly wrong as he unfortunately reawakens the memories and experiences of a certain Kavendish, a criminally insane madman. He finds himself transforming into this maniac and when the possession is complete, Corbet/Kavendish begins to cut a bloody trail by gorily murdering Ruby's mother. When Ruby realizes what's happening (and after discovering her dead mother), she flees Corbet/Kavendish, but he follows in hot pursuit. A car chase ensues, which ends in a crash and Ruby is finally able to gruesomely finish off Corbet/Kavendish by smashing a license plate into his skull.

During its 88 minutes running time this crazy little shot-on-video monstrosity takes in cannibalism, a tapeworm(!), brain-eating, dismemberment, a séance, a car chase, a stabbing contest, a ghost and hypnosis! I don't think there's anything that this film fails to cover! Now this all may sound very interesting and there's certainly plenty of blood 'n' guts on display to keep the most ardent gore hound happy but don't expect any of Peter Jackson's weird and funny humor. Actually the 'special effects' in this movie might be the funniest part of it. And if you are into Zombie movies and all that gore - and if you don't take all that too seriously your certainly will not be disappointed...
