"Puppetman" is a cute pilot from a television series proposed by Jim Henson that ultimately was never picked up by the networks. It's not perfect...but is a lot better than most unsold pilots and it showed some promise.
The story is about a man who works for a children's show on PBS. His job is a puppeteer...BUT he seems to spend most of his time putting out fires on the job. However, this will become extremely difficult when his ex-wife sends his five year-old to come live with him. How can he put on a good show AND be a good father at the same time?
I did not love the show but saw it had a lot of promise. Meaning, had they made the show, I could have seen an audience for it. Apparently, the networks did not agree and only the pilot episode was actually made.
