It's good to see another classic episode!

After a slightly disappointing opening with Season 17's first episode, Last of The Summer Wine has brought back brilliance again with the seasons second. This time around we see our favourite protagonists plotting and scheming as usual with chaotically hilarious consequences.

The humour and jokes present here are slightly more intellectual than some of the series other episodes, and this does wonders do reinvigorate ones interest and curiosity in the program. There is also plenty of physical comedy and laughs abound for those of you who don't want to think about things too much.

It's this lighthearted as usual, with an edge of extra cheekiness that makes this episode worthy of 8 stars.

8* - Brilliant

Bicycle Bonanza

The episode starts with a wonderful shot as the trio discuss beetles. Clegg was told by Wesley that Hitler created them, he meant the Volkswagen Beetle.

However it is noticeable that the shot of the trio were doubles. They could never get a proper ringer for Foggy.

Anywhere the doubles were needed as it had several stunts such as Foggy falling off the back of a Land Rover.

As it was an episode where Foggy wants to go off road bicycling, it was an episode of 3 men in 3 separate bicycles this time. It still ends in disaster as the trio are trapped in a bog.

Ivy and Nora discuss hats in the cafe when Nora encounters a woman with an identical hat as hers. The theme tune for Laurel & Hardy bursts out. The woman was played by Lois Laurel, the daughter of Stan Laurel.
