Laguna Seca is a unique track and these bikes and riders are amazing.

There's a scene at ~ 21:40 of four bikes going up a incline to a blind crest at what looks like supersonic speeds and making great noises. Apart from the isle of man (and the other road races, northwest 200 etc) this track must be the craziest. So glad it's back on the GP circuit. Now in the UK we just need to get MotoGP to race at Donington again (or Cadwell Park!) instead of boring Silverstone. Nice to see Brad Pitt and the other celebs taking an interest and maybe opening this sport up to a wider audience. I'm so glad this movie was made. The end.

Review of the 2005 return of MotoGP to Laguna Seca
theredsox-246356 January 2021
This is the follow-up to director Mark Neale's Faster films from a few years earlier. Technically way better and it appears to have been re-released in 2020. Not sure if they remastered it or not, but the video quality was noticeably better than the films from a few years earlier. Also they modified a bit at the end to update the story which was nice.

What also made this film special for me is that it was centered around the return for Moto GP to Laguna Seca, my favorite race track to sim on. I've been out in that area twice in my life and unfortunately never coincided with any track days open to the public. I'd love to drive around there for real some day, certainly a bucket list item. Or at least catch a race there. It's also a bit frustrating because none of the major series I usually follow visit the track. So it's rare to catch any racing there on the TV.

Especially if you are a US motorsports fan, this one with the great title should go on the watchlist. It often follows a few US riders that were in the series at the time, on one of the top tracks in the country. Would be hard pressed to not enjoy it.

Another great one from Mark Neale

Warning: Spoilers
Another great movie from director Mark Neale, showcasing the 2005 USGP at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. Although a mediocre race in comparison to the Italian GP which took place a few races before, the history behind a race absent for 13 years is mesmerizing to say the least. Rich with celebrities, state of the art Motogp machines, and 50,000 rabid fans, this documentary will satisfy any fanatic of the awesome world of Motogp. Hopefully there will be a directors cut with footage of the 2006 GP that ended with similar results. Nicky Hayden in his maiden top step podium finish proved to the world and to his Repsol Honda team that he can be a world champion, the only problem is a young, charismatic 6 times world champion who goes by the nickname "The Doctor", Valentino Rossi and his American counterpart and teammate Colin "The Texas Tornado" Edwards. I also recommend Faster, and the sequel Faster & Faster
