The Married Man is a definite homage to the opening episode, The Married Man. Only now, the trio of characters are all a little older and wiser. Eleanor, definitely the amateur sleuth calculates that someone is up to no good, she uses the geriatric grapevine to great effect.
I enjoyed this episode, it has some funny moments, the best being where Eleanor manipulates the you my lad from the hotel, making him divulge all manner of secrets. Clare has definitely grown up as a character, learning from her mistakes. Just who was on the phone to Sarah?
Eleanor is terrific once again, but poor Joan Sanderson does look a little frail, sad to see.
Enjoyable. 8/10
