It looks like the children are not in Scatterbrook Farm for the summer. They have started school.
While they are aware, Worzel Gummidge is still doing his pilfering. A big bowl of string has disappeared.
John and Sue find Worzel in the barn with a missing arm. He tells the children that he could help them with their schoolwork such as sums. He just needs to find his Clever Head.
Worzel has no idea where he put it. It was the Clever Head that suggested the hiding place.
He eventually locates it on the school roof. Once Worzel puts the head on, he impresses the teacher with his knowledge.
Later it is Mr Peters who comes to do some repairs at the school. He finds himself having to demonstrate his general knowledge to the class.
This is the first episode that displays how much Worzel's personality could change with a different head. Once again charmingly done and the kids help out their dad with some sports questions.
