Film for the spirit
cat-rave18 November 2006
This is such a great film about one of the most exiting spiritual master still alive. There is so much love and excitement that has to be seen and even better to then self try it!!!

Nirmala Devi has inspired people all around the world with her teachings of meditation as the way to enlightenment - and still she travel and meet people from all over the world. The film really show her amazing spirit and how much love there are from people that do her method on a daily basis - and the transformation that has taken place in their lives.

To see the film is a great joy for the eyes and the spirit, to feel that everything can change if the focus is there.

A great documentary about Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi

We have had the pleasure to see and enjoy Freedom and Liberation a few times already and we love it. We are taken on a journey with Shri Mataji from the times of freedom struggle in India to the present days, where several people are interview about their meeting with her and Sahaja Yoga. It is interesting to see how this meeting have changed their lives to something very positive. And many aspects of that are addressed, family of Shri Mataji and yogis are being interviewed. Another positive outcome of the production of this documentary is the fact that it is a documentary. It gives a true picture of the history, a peak into a life lead with Sahaja Yoga and the positive effects of this meditation and lifestyle. You feel like actually taken part in the journey with the others and being a passenger through India, Europe and many countries. It is pleasant 82 minutes. Enjoy watching it some day. Thank you very much for making this documentary come true! Best wishes Harald, Bergen, Norway.

beautiful documentary about the life of Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi. camera-work and narrative flow of the movie are excellent, really interesting. Definitely not a movie you would see everyday. Movie starts in a small market in India interviewing a guy sitting on the floor, i think selling garlic bulbs, about his families relationship to Shri Mataji (He has a picture of her on his stall). Then moves out in ever widening circles to paint a picture of a great saint traveling the world in service of the spiritual evolution of mankind. The film gives a great feeling of the breadth and scope of Shri Mataji's work and her unselfish devotion to those that she teaches this method of spiritual evolution she calls Sahaja Yoga. The film explains briefly about Sahaja Yoga but is more of a tribute to the amazing life of Shri Mataji and it's influence of others. For those of us living the western ideal of materialism it is a revelation to see the different styles of life that people have adopted, even within our own societies.
