Are They Still Coming?
AaronCapenBanner23 September 2014
First of the nature episodes is nicely done, as it takes a look at the potential threat of Africanized killer bees, who may make their way into Western Civilization, cutting a swath of terror in their wake. The biology of bees and their regimented society is examined, as is the origin of how they came to threaten humans. Only nitpick with this episode is of course how that killer bee invasion date of 1990 came and went with nothing happening that I know of! That is the trouble with giving specific future dates of course, but this entry is still reasonably effective to succeed, even if there has been nothing in the news lately about them...

In Search Of... "Killer Bees" (1977)

This sixth episode takes a look at the notorious African killer bees. It's funny when you look back of the 1970s because this was a topic that was covered in many documentaries, films and television series. This episode of the series spends a tad bit too much time talking about bees and how they make honey but once we get down to the killing the episode really picks up and packs a nice little punch and especially a sequence where a farmer is attacked. There's some nice information here as well as details about some attacks that led to many deaths.

Episode: B+

Well it's just there.

Warning: Spoilers
Killer Bees is a well it's just there episode. A documentary on how the bees escaped, and caused an environmental problem. How the African bee and the hybrid bees is more aggressive. Killer Bees goes on about the Bee colonies, and how Bee's behaves. Bee keepers, and experts discuss the possibilities of a killer Bee invasion. The documentary style is a bit slow and too much about bee's themselves. Interesting, but I would not watch Killer Bee's again. Mega hype on the killer bee invasion, which is hysterical. 5 out of 10 stars.
