- TriviaThe locomotive that Sid and Wally drive was Windle, a class 0-4-0 WT number 53. It was built in 1909 by Edward Borrows at Providence Works in St. Helens on Merseyside for Pilkingtons Glass. Having been saved from being scrapped in 1961, it belonged to the Middleton Railway in Leeds, where the film was shot, and was later sold to the Ribble Steam Railway.
