Walt Disney's competitors must have resented the way he got his publicity. If any of them wanted to run a twenty-minute commercial for their movies on national television, they had to pay one of the networks for the privilege. Uncle Walt got to run it on his top-rated television show and was paid for the privilege. Come see the movie that will be in a theater near you soon and come visit Disneyland!

That's what this episode from "Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color" is: a two-reel advertisement for Disney's live-action "Johnny Tremaine" and the entirety of his animated "Ben and Me". There are some clips from the movies, eked out with efforts from other Disney movies -- I recognized bits from "Cinderella" and "The Story of Robin Hood and His Merrie Men" and add in Disney explaining things and you have a very watchable example of how Walt Disney became the greatest showman of the 20th Century.
