This one does a lot in 30 minutes. Claymore Gregg (Reilly) is trying to over charge Mrs. Muir for a Christmas tree he is selling. Mrs. Muir turns him down. Then after she leaves the tree lot, Clayton finds a big smiling baby boy in his car. Clayton takes the child to the constable and then to Mrs. Muirs house for her care while they are trying to locate the parents.
Captain Gregg takes exception to the baby being at the house, but realizes it is temporary on Christmas eve. After getting his crib out of the attic, he then plants a dream into everybodys head that night as they sleep that is much like the Dickens story. Claymore is Scrooge, and Muir (Lang) is working for him like Tiny Tim. The story -dream gives the Captain a chance to profess his love for Mrs. Muir along with straightening out the skin-flint Clayton.
The kids and the maid all share the same dream, and in end all is explained that dreams can't come true and the parents for the baby are found. A nice holiday show for everyone.
