In what many refer to as the . . .
tadpole-596-91825621 November 2023
. . . "Cucumber's Revenge," countless cooks, chefs and picnickers have been cut, slashed and maimed while taking mostly failed stabs at opening their jars of pickles. Today, of course, in this Our Modern 21st Century, thanks to the Miracle of Modern Plastics, most of us have several dozen of those brightly colored gripper disks stashed in the auxiliary pockets of our picnic baskets, knapsacks, RV's, tents, campers, boats, vans, pick-ups, kitchen cabinets, drawers, fishing tackle and tool boxes so that we can easily access our pickles and other hard-to-get at condiments at the drop of a sombrero. However, back in the Bad Old Days of the 1900's, Life was much tougher and more prone to Heartbreak. During MR. KNOW-IT-ALL: HOW TO OPEN A JAR OF PICKLES, Bullwinkle illustrates this seemingly impossible task in which many consumers had to resort of hammers, geysers and airplane drops to enjoy their dills.

Fearless Leader Has Had Enough
Hitchcoc15 November 2014
Boris Badinov lies to Fearless Leader about his successes in killing the Moose and Squirrel. He enjoys about five minutes of joy until the pesky pair show up. They have teamed with Gidney and Cloyd and are trying to find a way to get them back to the moon without betraying the red, white, and blue. Peabody and Sherman visit Richard the Lion Hearted who, of course, is afraid of everyone. They must find a way for him to gird himself against his adversaries. The Aesop story is the Wolf in Sheep's clothing which is sort of like a Roadrunner feature as the enterprising wolf is trying to get some lamb for his pregnant wife. Once again, the stereotypes of the wife hitting her husband with a rolling pin and firing every dish in the cabinet.

When I was a kid, I used to enjoy animation . . .

. . . until I streamed an episode of this picture one rainy afternoon. Unlike some of my less mature peers, I used to pay attention to titles. My Mom was a teacher, so if a title, subtitle or on-screen caption contained an unfamiliar word, likely as not I'd go up to her at some point and ask "What does blah-blah mean?" However, on the drizzly day I'm recalling she had gone shopping or something, so I was home alone when I first saw the heading for Episode 37 of the Jet Fuel Formula story. If you count "star-spangled" as a single word, the next or final term in this title--that is, the seventh word--has five letters, beginning with a "B." In Mom's absence, I whipped out my phone to access the planet's leading informational web site. Imagine my shock when I observed photos of 25 human and one equine example of this apparent slang term. What were the producers of this show thinking? Still, this entry doubtless deserves a high ranking for its educational value.
