A turtle has to stick his neck out to see what's happening
kapelusznik1821 January 2014
****SPOILERS**** The two lovable truckers Mike & Jerry have a problem on their hands when they find hidden in their cab little Jimmy & his kid sister Laurie who escaped from their Uncle Fred. It's Uncle Fred who was in the process of kidnapping them form the orphanage that they were staying at. Uncle Fred meant well to give his deceased brother's children a home but the home he planned for them with him on the run from the police wasn't exactly one they'd feel at home in. It's now up to Mike & Jimmy to get the kids back to the orphanage where they've would soon be adopted by a loving family. The only problem in all that is they are to be adopted by two, not one, different loving families!

Touching "Cannonball" episode with both Mike & jerry faced with the dilemma of not only having the two kids, Lourie & Jimmy, separated from each other but having to keep the by now completely deranged Uncle Fred from getting a hold of them. This leads to an exciting final with Uncle Fred trying to re-kidnap them and ending up getting belated by Jerry. That while Mike saves the two from an oncoming locomotive at the train depot when Uncle Fred took them for safe keeping.

Heart warming final with a very moving speech by Mike to Laurie's adopted parents, the Fosters, in getting them to adopt Jimmy as well to keep the two siblings together and not apart. And after then moving speech by Mike how on earth couldn't they. As for Uncle Fred his fate was to be decided by a court of law where his actions will be looked upon as more selfish on his part not in any way done for the kids he claimed to have loved. But an understanding jury will give him less time behind bars that he normally, in a kidnap case, would have gotten. Only if he agrees to get mental and emotional treatment, by a head shrinker or psychiatrist, for what he did not a long stretch in state prison.
