Something is seriously amiss here. And not just with this particular episode -but the collective information with regards to the entire series as well - which consist of 7 episodes total.
According to the box cover, this PBS series SHOULD be 8 hours total. Yet, here I sit completely befuddled because I only have 4.8 hours of material contained on the complete 4 disc set that I received via Netflix! Even Netflix has the total runtime of 420 minutes listed for the 7 episodes - and that totals 7 hours - not 8.
Runtimes are listed on IMDb for only a few of the episodes and they are 1 hour in length. The first episode - "Darwin's dangerous idea" does not have a runtime listed for it here on IMDb. This episode runs for approximately 2 hours and is the only episode on disc 1.
According to IMDb, most episodes run for 1 hour each but nothing listed for the runtime of the episodes "Great transformations", and "Darwin's dangerous idea".
I cannot seem to figure out what is missing here. How is it possible that I have all 4 discs from Netflix - but only 4.8 hours of material? Did they scale this information down? Re-edit the final discs? According to one review on this particular episode, there are instances of people citing things that happened but I haven't seen them - yet the title of the disc says "The minds big bang" PLUS "what about god".
Any input would be appreciated.
