Incredibly funny and hilarious. Episode about friendships and its needs. Be polite. Be realistic. Be nice. Be good. Sometimes just be yourself.

An episode of two parts, The Barney and Lily part is very funny, however the Ted and Robin part is just cringeworthy at times. Also in this episode, Marshall uses his second out of free five slaps, which he won earlier on in this season in the episode titled "Slap Bet" Plot In A Paragraph: Lily is upset when Barney gives a harsh criticism of a play she is appearing in, when he says it is cos they are such good friends he can be honest. Lily counters that he should have found something positive to say to make her feel good. so Barney challenges her to watch his deliberately awful play and afterwards say something positive to make him feel good. Amusingly the title of Barney's play is called "Suck It Lily." Meanwhile Robin and Ted argue over stuff that has been left at their apartments from their previous partners.

I like the bit where Barney was being annoying and Marshall slapped him really hard in the face

Warning: Spoilers
This episode made me dislike Robin. She as always a pretty cool character, but it seems she should stay single. In a relationship she is awful. Her making big deal about Ted keeping things from previous relationships was so stupid, at this relationship people are above that. And her agreeing to get rid of her dogs was just awful. Only the lowest kind of a person gives up a pet for a relationship. They tried to make it look nice by having her send them on the farm, but it didn't work. Somehow if this is better for dogs she never cared to do this for them. She just cared about dating way more than about living beings that depended on her.

Without it the episode would have been good. The story about plays was pretty fun. Barney was hilarious. And so was Marshall giving him the second slap.
