- TriviaAfter extensive re-editing and re-shooting by the producers, writer/director Ti West requested to have his name removed from the film and replaced with the popular pseudonym Alan Smithee. Since he was not a member of the DGA, his request was denied by the producers and he remains credited as the film's director. West has since disowned the final product, claiming that it is more a product of the producers and executives than that of his own. It is unknown whether or not there will ever be a "director's cut" released featuring West's original vision.
- GoofsNear the beginning of the film the school is a 2-story older red brick building, but during the prom it is a single story contemporary tan brick building. Additionally, you will notice the hallways have red and blue stripes early in the film, while later they are a light green (this is due to the crew being forced to change locations during filming).
- Quotes
Deputy Winston: Wanna know what kinda pussy you gonna get for this? Oh man, you're gonna get the Sashimi!
Toby: What's that?
Deputy Winston: Man, that's the Primo Pussy, man. No smell!
- Crazy creditsThe beginning of the end credits are covering a piece of flesh slowly rotting.

Shocked and awestruck
I cannot begin to describe how much I love the first Cabin Fever. Ever since I saw it in theatres I was hooked. So, when I heard there was a sequel that was finished, it just was waiting to be released, I was obviously excited. And it had nowhere to go but downhill from there. First I heard that Eli Roth had nothing to do with this sequel, and I honestly don't think I need to elaborate anymore.
Then, after stumbling upon the IMDb page for it, I saw that Rider Strong was in fact playing in this movie (I had heard that before this sequel was even in production, and I believe I had been told that it had come out of Eli Roth's mouth while talking about making a sequel). And since his name was at the top of the list I naively thought he was playing the main role. So my excitement had somewhat returned.
I start watching it. Three minutes into it; SMACK! (pun intended). There went most excitement. The only reason I kept watching was to see what Deputy Winston had in store for us this movie (which was honestly very disappointing).
I think the plot was very shallow, although it seems like they tried so hard to make it work. The gore was actually great, in my opinion (minus the throwing up). But the fact that they changed what this sickness/disease/infection does physically to people was just plain stupid. If this movie was just an original 80s horror movie and not a sequel, it may have been looked at as mediocre. Unfortunately, it's not an 80s original horror movie. It's a travesty sequel to a masterpiece.
