Of interest mostly to rabid fans
This is a special feature included on disk 4 of the recent release of "Harry Langdon: Lost and Found" and is a rather cheap little film. The VOICE OF Hollywood films were shorts that supposedly gave behind the scenes looks at celebrities, though the action was all very scripted. Despite this, the film is a little better than I'd expected because at least the film tried to be different. The dialog by the host and action was all very tongue-in-cheek and while most of the gags fell pretty flat, it was better than many of the later similar films--which tended to be rather dry.
Despite this being in the Harry Langdon set, he was only in the last minute or so of the film and frankly his bit was not one of the better ones in the film. I am sure that Langdon was trying hard to put himself out there now that talking pictures are coming into vogue. Aside from allowing fans to hear his voice, it wasn't a great film for him in particular, as instead of being like the childish man he'd played in the 20s, now he came off as addle-brained or perhaps drunk.
However, despite this, the film is interesting and gives a rare behind the scenes look that cinephiles will love. Others, however, probably won't be particularly engaged by the short.
